chime in on the 2013 budget
We’re in the middle of working through the city’s budget for 2013. We had a very productive work session last week* and now it’s your turn. We’ve got a public comment meeting scheduled specifically to talk about budget issues. Here’s the official notice:
This open meeting is tomorrow night, October 15, at 5:00pm at City Hall. We’ll go as long as it takes to hear all of your concerns.
Even if you feel you’re not as informed on the budget as you’d like, and even if you may not have any comments to make right now, I encourage you to attend. Listen to the conversation. Hear what your neighbors are saying, and share your opinion of you’d like. If you’re not sure about something, just come and ask your question. We are your City Council, and we want to hear your feedback.
If you’d like, you can watch last Wednesday’s budget discussion. The 5-hour video is available on the city web site: Wed, Oct 10, 2012 Finance/Personnel Mtg
This is your chance to be heard. I hope to see you tomorrow night!
* Unfortunately, last week’s budget work session was scheduled on Wednesday night. I couldn’t make it due to a religious commitment.
